The past few months has been a very busy and stressful month for me that is why I wanted to plan even just a short vacation with hubby and the kids to just relax and have fun.

It has been a year since I gave birth to my youngest child but as I look in the mirror, I still have e very big tummy. Sometimes I will meet up with friends and relatives and they will ask me if I am pregnant again as my tummy is still big that it makes it look like I am still pregnant. In public places, I will get special treatment from strangers or in public transportation; I will be offered a sit in a bus or train because strangers think that I am pregnant.

One of our favorite theme parks here in Manila is Ocean Park. One reason is that it is very convenient for us to go there as it is just a few minutes drive from our house. Second is, it is a world class theme park as you can compare it with Oceanarium of Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and even the US. Plus our daughter just loves animals and so she never gets tired of going to Ocean Park even if she has been here a number of times already.

Two weeks ago, we were able to go to hubby’s hometown for the 1st death anniversary of my mother-in-law. My husband was so glad to be back in his hometown as it definitely brings back memories of his childhood and of his mom.

Hubby is so happy too because they renovated their house there and he was pleased with the pergo laminate flooring that they installed for their floors. My husband kept on saying that his mom would definitely be happy if only she can see it now for herself.

It was a good three days spent at hubby’s hometown. It was a perfect opportunity for the kids to connect to their roots and I am sure hubby is happy that even just for a brief period, he was able to feel like home again.
