When Traveling to a Foreign Land
Posted by Bela Wednesday, October 23, 2013 9:53 AM 0 comments
My sister was just telling me and my dad on our way to work about her friend’s trip to Argentina. My dad used to work as a seafarer so he has traveled quite a lot and he told us that he does not recommend going there.
I am not sure what tourist spots they have but my sister said that her friend was really persistent that they really pushed though with the trip even if they had a hard time getting a visa. For sure there is really something nice to see there that is why there are really persistent. I for one would want to visit any of the countries in South America too, if not for the expensive airfare since it is quite far from my part of the word.
I guess for our peace of mind, if ever we got a chance to travel there, I would bring with me self defense tools (click here self defense weapons). You can never be too careful especially if you are in a foreign land and I will make sure that we have insurance so we don’t have to worry whatever misadventures we will experience during our trip.
Shangri-La Hotel Luxury Sale
Posted by Bela Wednesday, March 13, 2013 5:13 AM 0 comments
My husband is asking me to plan for our summer getaway and so I have been checking resorts and airline websites for days now to find the best deal so we can afford to go on an out of town trip. I checked the flights and rate of Cebu Pacific and looks like the cheapest flight that we can get is at P3800 per person and this is a round trip fare from Manila to Cebu. We would love to go to Bohol or Palawan but airfares are so steep.
And if ever we get a good deal in the upcoming sale of Shangri-La, we might be able to push through with our summer plans:
Shangri-La Hotels is having a luxury sale again this weekend, from March 15-17 where you can buy discounted vouchers for room accommodation, dining and spa treatments. The voucher can be use from March 2013 to March 2014.
I am excited and my husband agreed to visit their booth in Shangri-La mall this weekend and hopefully we can get a good deal for 3-days, 2 nights stay at Shangri-La Mactan. So wish us luck and who knows, I will be able to wear my ray ban wayfarer 2132 to the beach this summer.
SG Trip
Posted by Bela Tuesday, February 19, 2013 10:57 PM 0 comments
Everything on Promo. That is what this Singapore trip is all about.
Airfare: We got our airfare at discounted rate when Cebu Pacific had a promo last November. The price is still a little higher as compared to Cebu Pacific’s piso fare, but at least we don’t have to wait for a year for the travel period.
Hotel: We booked 3 days 2-night stay in Festive Hotel at discounted rate too. They have an on-going promo for the opening of the newest attraction in Resorts World, the SEA Aquarium. The package that I got comes with a Deluxe Family room accommodation plus 2 adult one-day passes to Universal Studios, SEA Aquarium and Water Cove Park. The price that I got is even cheaper if I will book for the room only on regular rate and it does not even include free tickets.
I am really excited though I am thinking if I should have bought marmot precip jacket women s for me and for my husband and the kids as I just got a twitter message from my friend and it is raining everyday in Singapore.
SG Trip 2013
Posted by Bela Friday, January 18, 2013 9:44 AM 0 comments
I was able to find the time to start planning for our trip to Singapore. Well it is really about time as it is almost a month away from now which means I have to book already the hotel where we will be staying.
I really wanted to try Marina Bay Sands but their hotel rates are so steep. Maybe next time, if we are more prepared (budget wise) for the trip. Anyways, the only concern I have is that the hotel should be kid friendly like they have the necessities in the guest room like robern medicine cabinets, provision for a play pen, stroller rental and more. It will just be me and my husband plus the 2 kids for this trip so I really have to make this trip as convenient as possible for us and the kids.
Thankfully I was able to find this promo of Resorts World: 3D2N All Attractions Package.
The package comes with hotel accomodation, daily breakfast and park admission. I did my computation and this package will even come cheaper than booking 3-star hotels in the city. This will be very convenient as we just plan to go to Universal Studios, S.E.A Aquarium and Singapore Zoo so we don’t have to go out of the Resorts World Area that much.
I will just present my budget sheet to the manager and I am all set to book our hotel accommodations for our upcoming SG Trip.

MBAP 2011 Summer Outing
Posted by Bela Tuesday, January 18, 2011 6:10 AM 0 commentsI have to look for the best diet pills for me but I have to hold my research for now as I have to do a search first on the resort that my group of online friends can go for our summer getaway.
I know it is way too early for summer planning but we learned our lesson last year as we planned just a few months before summer and we were not able to book a good resort as it is difficult to book a room for a group of 30 pax. So as early as now we are coordinating our schedules and we will start inquiring so we can make reservations early.
Here are some of the resorts in our list:
• Fontana in Subic but we are still waiting for the confirmation from Jane, whose uncle is a member in this resort, for the available dates that we can consider.
• Camayan Beach in Subic although we find it too pricey.
• Sofitel. Yeah we are considering Sofitel since they have a resort-like pool less the hassle of long driving since it is just located in the heart of Manila. Plus there are a lot of good restaurants around the area where all the mommies and the daddies can go to while our kids are busy playing in the playground or enjoying the pool.
We have to make reservations soon so we can finally push through with the long overdue MBAP’s summer outing.

Celebrating the Proclamation of our 15th President
Posted by Bela Tuesday, June 29, 2010 11:43 AM 0 comments
Tomorrow will be the inauguration of the 15th President of the Philippines. And to celebrate that important event in our history, Cebu Pacific is having a P15 seat sale.
Booking period for this seat sale starts now until June 30, 2010, which is valid for travel from October 1 to November 30, 2010.
All domestic destinations are up for grabs for the ‘Go Lite’ seat sale fare of P15 while the international destinations are available for the ‘Go Lite’ seat sale fare of P1,500. 150,000 seats are up for grabs for this seat sale so start booking your tickets now.
November is the birthday month of our princess so I am thinking to book a ticket either to Hong Kong or Singapore. I tried checking yesterday for Hong Kong flights but only weekday seats are available and since B is already going to big school, I don’t think this is a good idea. I will try again later and if I find a good date, I guess it is a sign that we are meant to travel again this coming November (but no big birthday party for B).

Universal Studios Singapore
Posted by Bela Monday, March 8, 2010 10:50 PM 0 commentsAfter the long wait, the first Universal Studios in Asia, will have its soft opening this coming March 18, 2010. During the soft opening, same day tickets are not sold so they encouraged guests to purchase their tickets online in advance.
Universal Studios will be open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on weekends. The different rides and attractions that visitors of the park must look forward to include:
Lights, Camera, Action (New York Zone), Accelerator (Sci- Fi City), Battlestar Galactica (Sci-Fi City), Revenge of the Mummy (Ancient Egypt), Treasure Hunters (Ancient Egypt), Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure (The Lost World), Dino Soarin’ (The Lost World), Amber Rock Climb (The Lost World), Canopy Flyer (The Lost World), Magic Potion Spin (Far Far Away), Enchanted Airways (Far Far Away), King Julien’s Party-Go-Round: (Madagascar), and Madagascar: A Crate Adventure (Madagascar).
Hubby and I really had fun when we went to Universal Studios in Los Angeles, California so we are really looking forward to seeing the Universal Studios at Resorts World in Singapore. I am sure B will have fun here also. We are actually planning to go there early next year when the hype already subsides so it will be not that crowded so hopefully we will find good deals on airfare and hotel by that time.

Juan's Fare Share: 50% Discount from Cebu Pacific
Posted by Bela Sunday, February 7, 2010 10:56 PM 0 comments
I can’t believe that Cebu Pacific is having another seat sale. Tempting, very, very tempting.
They are offering 50% discount on all their domestic and international destinations for bookings made until tomorrow, February 8, 2010. Travel period is from May 1 – July 31, 2010. To redeem the offer, just select the promo seats and type the word “JUAN” upon checkout. The booking is non-refundable and the 50% discount is not applicable to government taxes and fees.
I tried booking for Manila – Tagbilaran flights and Manila – Hong Kong flights and the airfare is really affordable. But since I am due to give birth on July 2, I don’t think I will be able to travel from May – July and even if I can, I don’t think my OB or the airlines won’t allow me. LOL.
So I have to pass for this promo again and I am sure more promos will be coming soon. Hubby wants to take us to Florida Keys vacation rentals after I give birth but I told him that I don’t want to bring our newborn to long travels that soon. An out of town (like a Bohol vacation) or an Asian trip (like Hong Kong or Singapore) might be something that we can consider for this year so I will just wait for Cebu Pacific promos again and hopefully by the time there is a seat sale on our preferred date, we already have the budget to pay for the airline tickets. LOL.

Posted by Bela Thursday, January 14, 2010 10:12 AM 0 commentsResorts World Sentosa, which is said to be Asia’s ultimate family destination, will be opening its doors to the public on January 20, 2010. On the said date, four of their hotels will be opening together with 10 restaurants and lounges.
Just take a look at the pictures of the four hotels that will be opening in resort World Sentosa next week:

Universal Studios was supposed to be open to public last December already but they were not able to meet this deadline. Up to now there is still no definite news on when Universal Studios will open though some are saying that it will open first quarter of 2010. Maritime Xperiential Museum and Marine Life Park will open after 2010.
Wow, new attractions to visit in Singapore. We have been to Singapore twice already but with this new attractions (especially Universal Studios and Marine Life Park), I am sure we will surely go back here.

Travel Deals from Tripmart Agency
Posted by Bela Monday, October 12, 2009 10:47 PM 0 commentsI got this from my travel agent last week.

So for those planning for a vacation, you can refer to this promo rates from Tripmart. My agent’s name is Abbie and you can contact her here:
Abbie
Tripmart
0917-8852604
She was referred to me by an officemate and I booked my flight to Germany through their office. What I like about their service is that they immediately attend to my inquiry. They answer me either through email, text, phone. Whatever method of communication, I had no problems as they reply to me on time. Not like other big travel agencies where they will promise to call you back and days will pass and they will not even bother to return your call.
When I booked my flight to Germany with them, I was still waiting for my husband’s ticket confirmation as he is travelling on business. I did not want to book ahead of him as I want to make sure first that his trip will push through before I make any final arrangements for my flight. The reservation that Abbie made for me is only valid for a week, and every week she will reinstate my reservation since it took I think three weeks before hubby’s travel got confirmed by his office. So that is really one good customer service. They even delivered the e-ticket to my office so I don't need to go to their office in Paranaque. Aside from their excellent customer service, their prices are really cheaper compared to other agencies (I did compare their price with 5 other agencies and their price is really the best.)
So for your travel needs, just contact Tripmart. I highly recommend them.
