Aside from the Cohiba cigarette that I will buy for my dad (and this is his favorite) for his birthday, I am still on the look out for promos that I can avail so we can go out of town for my dad’s big day.

I saw this promo of Canyon Cove from Ensogo and I am thinking if this is a perfect getaway for my family.

The rate is actually ok, priced at P3,380 (which is 50% off its published rate) and the package includes a Superior Room Accommodation for 2 persons inclusive of breakfast and welcome drinks at Canyon Cove, a resort in Nasugbu, Batangas.

I asked my friend who have been to Canyon Cove and she mentioned that the room is clean but the food served at the restaurant is just so-so. The beach has white sand but has small shells and rocks so we need to use aqua shoes to enjoy the beach.

My dad’s birthday is almost the start of the summer season already so we really have to decide soon so we can book a nice resort for my dad’s birthday celebration.

It is just 20 days to go before Christmas. Have you made plans already for the holiday season? Have you checked for rv repair for those who will be going out-of-town during the holiday season?

As for my family, it has been a tradition for use to hear mass on the eve of Christmas and we will have Noche Buena together as a family. Then on Christmas day, we will have a reunion in our grandparent’s house. Since we just moved in to our new house, the reunion will probably be held in our house this year.

After the reunion from my side of the family, my husband and I together with our two kids will then visit hubby’s side of the family for their get together. Although I am not sure what are their plans for this year as my sister-in-law mentioned that they want to celebrate Christmas at our place too.

Although Christmas is the most expensive time of the year, this is my favorite month as the mood is so festive and you can really feel the spirit of love and sharing. I can’t wait for December 25!!

Somebody will be wearing lingerie babydolls on their honeymoon as my cousin will soon be getting married.

My cousin proposed to his long time girlfriend and she said yes. Well who could say no to a proposal such as this?


My cousin coordinated with his alma mater as he plans to stage the proposal there. He contacted the school’s Glee Club and he pretended that they will have a program and he will be one of the participants. He asked his girlfriend to come to the practice to watch but to his girlfriend’s surprise, he proposed after he and the Glee Club were done with the song.

They had a lovely dinner after courtesy of the school’s HRM students which was set up at the school’s garden.

What a very romantic and cool way to propose. Way to go cousin and we all can’t wait to see you say I do to Hazel.

Just a few months to go and it will be the wedding of my cousin. We all can’t wait, as it has been six years since we last have a wedding in the family. My daughter will be one of the flower girls and I think my boy will be one of the bearers too so all the more I am excited for this wedding.

Another reason why I am excited is I can’t wait to get baby shower invitations for the new babies that will be added to our family. My grand mother has now four greet grand kids and I am sure she is thrilled to have more.

Everything is almost all set for the wedding, as both the couple are hands on when it comes to the preparation. They will have a vintage theme so I can’t wait to shop for the outfit that my husband and me will be wearing for the wedding.

Hope it is March 2012 already. Now who says I am excited?

June is the month where majority of my family members are celebrating their birthday:

We just had a small party at my grand mother’s house yesterday to celebrate the birthday of my cousin, and tomorrow we are having a party again to celebrate the birthday of my brother and my son. (This reminds me that I should wrap the xbox and xbox 360 hdmi cable that I bought online as our gift to my brother). My aunt for sure will cook something for the occasion and I will just order cake for my brother and my son.

After tomorrow, the next celebration will be grandest as it is the birthday of our favorite grand mother (who all took care of us when we were kids), my Nanay Lydia.

Oh my gosh, I am so bad that I did not remember that it is Mother’s Day on Sunday. So how will you celebrate Mother’s Day?

Since we will be leaving on Saturday, we need to celebrate Mother’s Day in advance. I don’t need any fancy gift for my mom since she will be coming with us for our vacation and that is our Mother’s Day and Birthday gift for her. So I am planning to just order a bouquet of flowers for my mom, my grand mother and my two aunts. This is what I always do every mother’s day, I always give gifts to all the moms in my family as I know how special this day is for them so this is the perfect time to acknowledge all that they have been doing as a great mom.

I have to place my order today so the flowers will arrive in time before our flight on Saturday so we can still celebrate Mother’s Day even if we are away.

My brother was asking me about my plans on how we will celebrate my dad’s birthday this coming Monday. My bad because I have been so busy lately that I haven’t planned anything for my dad’s special day. Unlike the previous years where we will even go out of town just to celebrate his big day.

Well my dad is a little sentimental now (that he is aging. LOL) and in fact he has been telling us that he will just go to our house in Bulacan and will just stay there for the week to celebrate his birthday. This only means that he is already calling our attention as he is expecting that we will have something for his birthday.

The French cuisine is also to die for as their chef has really great taste when it comes to preparing French cuisine.

I will check with my family if they love French cuisine and if they will say yes, I will definitely get this voucher for my dad’s birthday.

In just a few weeks, another one of my cousins will be graduating so I am now looking for a site where I can order class rings as our gift for her.

I was actually surprise when I learned that she is graduating already this March. All I can picture of her was the cute and chubby baby that I and my cousins always play with and now she will wear a toga and march to receive her diploma.

We are all proud of her as she is a very independent child. She studies on her own and now is she graduating with flying colors (I guess intelligence really runs in our family. LOL). Her parents are the happiest as she is the eldest and is the first one to graduate. They can’t help but wonder what the future holds for their daughter.

There was a promo a while ago in Cash Cash Pinoy for buffet lunch voucher in one of the new restaurants at Diamond Hotel. My dad will be celebrating his birthday on the 21st of March and so I thought that this a perfect gift for him so he and my mom can go on a date on his birthday. But I totally forgot about the promo as I got really busy in the office and I totally forgot about it when I reached home so I was not able to buy the voucher before the promo expired.

So I started to search the net for more gift options for my dad as I only have two weeks before his big day and thankfully I did not have a hard time looking for the best gift for him as I saw the site which sells dutchmaster cigars which is one of my dad’s favorite.

So all I have to do now is place my order online and I am sure the boxes of cigar will arrive before his birthday so we now have the perfect birthday present for him.

My brother got confined again last Sunday because of extreme stomach pain. After several tests, the doctors are still not sure on what is causing the pain. My brother is scheduled for an x-ray tomorrow morning as the doctors need to conduct more tests to verify their suspicion for the root of the problem of my brother.

My brother said that if the pain attacks, it is so bad that it is difficult for him to do anything even sleeping. That is why I am reading lunesta reviews now so I can check for a safe way for my brother to fall asleep or stay asleep.

I know my brother needs a lot of support and prayers since he is already very worried about his condition and he is really in a very difficult situation as there are times that the pain is really intolerable. Someone close to me will be proposing to his girlfriend whom he has been dating for more than five years now. He used to work for one of the TV networks and so he talked to his former colleagues as he plans to propose in national TV.

Well I am not surprise that he chooses to propose this way as this person is very creative so I know he will plan something unique and special to pop the question to his one and only love.

I know he will do the proposal this week and he is 101% definite that his girl will say yes. I am so excited for various reasons:

• I will get to wear those a bridesmaid dresses as I am part of the entourage
• My two kids are part of the entourage too so the stage mom in me is getting all excited already
• It will be a wonderful gathering again for my family
• And it is about time that this person ties the knot

So to you, I wish you good luck on your proposal and I will reveal his identity soon when he finally pops the question.

Last night, my brother called up my mom and is asking for my parents to take him to the doctor as he was not able to sleep the entire night because of extreme stomach pain. He took a medicine for stomach pain already but it did not took away the extreme pain that he is feeling. He even attempted to try to take over the counter sleep aids so he can just fall asleep and just sleep the pain away.

And so when he can no longer take the pain already, he asked my mom to bring her to the doctor this morning. Thankfully, all his laboratory exams are normal and the doctor did not see anything wrong with his intestine. The doctor just gave him take home medicines to help ease the pain.

I guess he felt really much better because he was able to go to work today. We are really thankful that it is really nothing serious and it is just probably stress that is causing his stomach pain and we continue to hope that his condition will continue to get better (he better be because we are set to watch the Pacquiao-Margarito fight later and he will miss half of his life if he will not be able to watch this match. LOL).

Our backyard has been one of our favourite places in our house. This is where our kids play during weekends, this is where we host parties, this is where hubby and I spends our evening after our long day at work, this is where we entertain guests every time we have a visitor. Our backyard has been a very special place for us as it holds a lot of memories with our family and friends. As I posted in my previous entries, my sister ran as Kagawad in our barangay. Unfortunately, she did not make it to the top 7. There is a long story behind it but I would rather not talk about it.

What is important is that we discovered what type of people they are. And besides there is nothing to be bitter about. She has a wonderful career as a programmer and she can get any tech jobs she wants because she has a very good education.

My family got a bit disappointed at first with the result of the election but I told them, all is good. We still have life after election. LOL. And at least now our life will be more quite and my mom can now concentrate in taking care of her two grand children.

But I am glad they were able to recover right away and they already accepted my sister’s fate. Maybe she is not born to become a politician after all.

My sister is a Computer Science graduate and she recently graduated a few months ago. But before she looks for technology jobs, she decided to run for public office first as a Barangay Kagawad in the coming barangay election.

My mom is the incumbent chairman but she already served for three terms already and by law, she can be in public office for three consecutive terms only. Our neighbours are actually telling my mom to ask either me or my brother to replace her as the chairman but neither of us was interested as we are both busy with work and family.

And so we did not thought that our little sister will be interested in politics as she told my mom that she wants to run as a Kagawad. If you will ask me, I want my mom to be the last politician in our family as I don’t like politics, I don’t like the intrigues and the stress and I don’t want any of my family to experience that. But looks like my sister is really serious and she really wants to serve our barangay like my mom and so we are giving her our full support.

To my sister, we wish you good luck and we hope that you will win as one of the kagawads in the coming barangay election. We will be here to support you all the way.

Hubby has been very busy lately regarding our house in our province. Every weekend, he goes there to transfer some of our things and he’s also applying a new line for the electricity and water supply.

This coming weekend, he’s planning to go back there again and have a general cleaning so that when we all go there, the place will be clean and it will be more comfortable for us to stay there especially to our kids. He is even looking for carpet cleaning Vienna VA to make sure that the carpet will be dust and germ free since the kids often stay there to play. The good thing about this is that there cleaning process is very safe and effective that’s why hubby insists that we should really look for it.

I am looking forward to have a weekend there with my family since the place is so peaceful and relaxing. I definitely need to have a break because ever since I went back to work, I got so many duties and tasks to finish, which are so stressful for me. So I hope hubby will be able to fix everything before we plan to visit there again.

After the sudden death of my mother-in-law because of cancer, my husband and I became more health conscious. Our kids are still young and so we can’t afford to get sick as our ultimate dream is to watch them grow and even have their own family.

But now I am worried too about my dad because I must say that he is a chain smoker. We tried everything that we can to convince him to quit. I even used my daughter to black mail my dad so he will stop smoking. But since it is part of his system already, I know it will be difficult for him to quit just like that. He needs to do it slowly so his body will not be shocked too of the sudden withdrawal from cigarettes.

One of the options that we thought of is letting him use one of those electronic cigarettes. It is a healthier option as it has no nicotine and it even has a flavor so he can smoke all he wants without hurting his lungs. Then slowly he can start his withdrawal from using the real cigarette.

It will really be a great challenge for us to convince our dad to stop smoking as he can really be stubborn sometimes especially when we are talking about his health. But we will really do all that we can to make him stop as we also wish for him to see his grand children grow.

We bought a house and lot from someone close to us five years ago. We actually have no plans of purchasing a house and lot that time as we just got married so we don’t have much savings yet. But since this individual badly needs to sell the house as she needs the money to pay for their other house, we tried all that we could, get a loan and then bought the house from them. It was a win-win scenario for both of us as we were able to acquire an investment and we were able to help that person save her other house where all her kids are living.

But after five years, we have been hearing bad comments from the previous owner of the house and lot and now she is saying that the 400 sq meters still belongs to her and she wants to sell it. I don’t know if she is crazy or just desperate as she badly needs a big amount of money again, but it is clear in the dead of the sale and the land title, which we were able to legally transfer to us, that what she sold us five years ago was 1,000 sq meters of lot and not 600 sq meter as what she is claiming now.

Hubby was telling me that I should not be worried as we have all the legal documents and we did everything legally so she can’t do anything. But I told hubby that we should have a fence built around the house to mark its demarcation and storage and garage sheds like the metal building that I saw from the American Steel Span website so nobody can trespass our property.

I was really fuming mad as she won’t stop calling us asking us about the 400 sq meters that she wants to claim back so she can sell it. Well I guess she is really going crazy already and I should not bother worrying about people who already lost their minds.

This is it, in just two weeks they will be moving to their new home. I am talking about my brother and his wife since their love nest will be finish in two weeks time which means that they will finally be able to move in to their new home.

They are currently living now with my parents but my sister-in-law is due to give birth on October so they want to move in before she gives birth so they have a much bigger space for the baby.

So far, the tiles, the bath tub, the shower and the water filter (which they bought from a wholesale water filter seller) have already been installed. The roofing and the ceiling has already been replaced and the kitchen tiles have been installed as well. They will be buying their furniture and appliances next week and after that they can move in.

I am so happy for my brother because I know this is what he wants for his family – their own place which they can call their own.

This is part of what used to be the garden in the house of my husband in Bicol. When they were still living there and mama is still alive, this space is filled with trees, plants and flowers as mama loves to plant flowers and trees as she feels relax and at peace every time she sees her plants and flowers.

Now that mama is gone, her kids wants to renovate their house and once again plant trees and flowers in the garden as they know that it will make mama happy. Mama has a green thumb, so everything that she touches turn into life but I think none of her kids has a green thumb like her. Maybe they can use hydroponic systems instead. LOL.

My husband and his siblings really missed mama so much so they are really doing things which they think will make mama happy. I am glad that hubby is making himself busy in doing these things for mama as at least it is his therapy to help him heal and fill the void that is missing in his life.
