Wednesday, January 19. It is my birthday and it is also the date when the result for our housing loan application will be released. The appraiser already visited the house that we are buying plus our property in Bulacan and we know that the appraised value for the two properties is enough already so we can loan the amount that we need to purchase the new property that we are eyeing.

I am excited and scared in a way. Excited since finally we will have our own house. No more renting and this will be the house where our kids will grow old. Scared since we did the math and our monthly salary is just adequate to support the basic needs of our family plus the monthly amortization for the house. I don’t even think that we will have a budget to buy new furniture and appliances that is why I am just thinking to have microfiber upholstery fabric for our sofa just to give it a new look that will match the color scheme of our new house.

But my husband and I agreed that it is about time that we buy a house in Manila. We spend a lot of money paying for the rent instead of using it to pay for our own house. So we are just praying hard that we can make this work for our kids.

Plus there are a lot of good restaurants around the area where all the mommies and the daddies can go to while our kids are busy playing in the playground or enjoying the pool.

We have to make reservations soon so we can finally push through with the long overdue MBAP’s summer outing.

Someone close to me will be proposing to his girlfriend whom he has been dating for more than five years now. He used to work for one of the TV networks and so he talked to his former colleagues as he plans to propose in national TV.

Well I am not surprise that he chooses to propose this way as this person is very creative so I know he will plan something unique and special to pop the question to his one and only love.

I know he will do the proposal this week and he is 101% definite that his girl will say yes. I am so excited for various reasons:

• I will get to wear those a bridesmaid dresses as I am part of the entourage
• My two kids are part of the entourage too so the stage mom in me is getting all excited already
• It will be a wonderful gathering again for my family
• And it is about time that this person ties the knot

My best friend who is an avid Janet Jackson fan is so excited when he learned that his idol is coming here to Manila for a concert. He actually was already planning to fly to Singapore to watch Janet’s show but he does not need to fly to Singapore now as he can watch his idol perform live as Manila will be one of the stops for Janet Jackson’s Asia Tour.

Janet Jackson’s concert entitled Number Ones – Up Close and Personal World Tour will be held on Feb. 4 at the PICC Plenary Hall. She will feature for the first time 35 of her No. 1 hits in 35 global cities.

My best friend is ready and excited for the concert already.
