It’s the time of the year again when we can finally bid goodbye to the hot summer. But how I wish I live in a city where I can wear
womens boots to gear up for the cold weather because in my part of the world, after summer comes the typhoon season.
We actually have one typhoon now and is affecting the western part of the country. PAGASA was saying that there is no storm signal raise in Manila but it has been raining the whole day and there was heavy downpour late in the afternoon that is why streets are all flooded on our way home.
My dad fetched me from work, as he knows that I will have a hard time going home with this weather if he does not fetch me but we were caught in traffic and got stuck in flooded streets. B was actually crying already as she saw the gloomy surrounding: there was zero visibility because of the heavy rain and we were surrounded by water because of flood. What normally took us only 1 hour of commute to and from home took us 4.5 hours because of the heavy traffic.
The rain has stopped already and hopefully we will finally see Mr. Sun tomorrow.

Who says Boracay is only for summer when great seals like this are available?
50% off at Boracay Sands Hotel
You only get to pay P6000 instead of P12,000 for three days and two nights stay in Boracay Sands Hotel for two and it even comes with daily breakfast. This voucher is valid until September 15, 2011.
I actually have been to Boracay during the lean season and I like it better compared to the crowded summer months. If we will not be going to Cebu this coming August, I might consider this offer as it has been more than three years since I last step my foot in Boracay.
But my Twitter friends are planning a Bora trip next year (and hopefully we can afford to stay in Shangri-La) so maybe I should just wait for that.

After our 3-week US vacation, our next trip will be this coming June 30 to the hometown of my husband in Bicol. It is actually not a vacation per se as we will be there to celebrate the 1st death anniversary of my mother-in-law.
We will be flying via Cebu Pacific on the 30th. It is a 16 hours or more drive from Manila if we will not be flying so I wouldn’t dare subject my kids to that long drive, especially since there are no good
roadside assistance in that area (not like the good road assistance that Good Sam is offering) and I am scared and paranoid of the numerous bus accidents there also. Good thing I was able to avail of Cebu Pacific’s promo so I was able to pay for less than P300 only for our airfare.
We will be staying in Bicol until July 2 so we have one whole day on July 1 to explore Bicol again. I might be able to meet up with Diane and her family also, my Bebot friend who is base in Bicol.

Travel Plans
I love to travel and explore new places. I must say that hubby and I have done a great deal of travelling already. We have been to North America, Asia, Europe and hopefully someday we can cover all the continents. But if there is one thing that I would love to try next, then it will be a Cruise.
And so I got really excited when I read this promo from Star Cruises (though it is actually a bad timing since we just got back from our US vacation so we are still recuperating from the expenses that we incurred while we are in the US. But at least this is a good sign that they are starting to give out promos like this):
For only P22473, you will get to experience a 4 Days and 3 Nights Cruise for 2 persons on the SuperStar Libra: Penang-Phuket-Krabi-Penang by Star Cruises. This package is valued at P44,945 so you will get 50% discount.
The package includes:
• Stay in 1 Inside Stateroom, twin-sharing cabin.
• Daily and nightly entertainment
• Use of specified facilities like the Gym, Pool, Restaurants, Casino.
• On-board travel insurance
• Full-board meals at Mariners Buffet, Ocean Palace and Four Seasons Restaurant.
Cruise dates will be from July 31 to December 31, 2011.
There are only 100 vouchers available for this promo only so don’t think twice. Grab this promo now.

My hubby has long wanted to try scuba diving but classes can be so expensive so being the responsible father that he is, he will set aside his desire to learn how to scuba dive in exchange for the needs of his family.
So I got really excited when I saw this promo online: For only P997, hubby can get a 2-Hour Scuba-Diving Introductory Lesson conducted by a PADI-Certified Instructor at Scuba World Greenhills. This is valued at P2,500 so you can get instant 60% off.
This lesson will teach the basic know-how in scuba diving and safety skills to boost confidence underwater. I am sure my husband would love to try this 2-Hour course so he can get to experience and try how scuba diving is and when we have extra budget already, then that is the time he can enrol to the full scuba diving class.
