For 2012

What’s your New Year’s resolution? I don’t actually make one as I always end up not fulfilling it anyways so I said to myself, why bother. I just try to live my life to the fullest and I always make sure that I don’t hurt anyone along the way as I fulfill my goals and aspirations.

But if there is one thing that I would like to prioritize for 2012 it is to organize and arrange our new home. We moved there around August and it has been 4 months already and we still have boxes lying around that needs to be unpack. I also want to purchase tools that will help us with our cable management system so cables from our Internet connection, TV, DVD players, etc will not look messy and disorganize.

We should also start to de-clutter and we should learn to let go those stuff that we no longer need or use and donate it or even sell it to earn extra money. I know my daughter has tons of clothes that no longer fit her and I am sure will be put to good use if I donate it.

This is just one of the simple goals that I want to achieve for the year 2012.

For Hubby's Birthday

It just a few days away before we say goodbye to 2011 and welcome 2012. But on January 1, 2012, my family is not only celebrating the New Year but the birthday of hubby as well.

I have been very busy that I was not able to get something for hubby as our present for him until now. Actually, I don’t even have a clue on what to give him. LOL. So far these are the ideas at the top of my head:

1. Buy mini cheesecakes for him and I will order food so we can have a simple celebration at home.
2. Avail of any of the discount vouchers from discount shopping sites for a hotel accommodation in Tagaytay or in any of the hotels in the city.
3. Buy any one of the toys that he likes
4. Or we can just give him a kiss and a hug. LOL (the cheapest and most effective way to make him happy. LOL).

I still have work today and we might go out of town tomorrow so wish me luck if I will still be able to prepare something for hubby.

I found this great deal from Deal Grocer where they are offering an overnight stay for 2 with breakfast in 8 Suites Hotel in Tagaytay at a discounted rate.

8 Suites is one of the newest boutique hotels in Tagaytay so I got really interested as it will be the perfect timing to try out hubby’s suv bike rack and we can use the coupon to avail for an overnight stay on the weekend of my birthday next month.

The rate for this promo is P4,200 nett (Original price for this package is P6,505.40 nett) only and it comes with overnight stay in a Deluxe Suite plus breakfast for two. The voucher can be use for accommodation from January 8 to April 13, 2012 except Holy Wednesday to Easter Sunday and all National Holidays.

Hubby actually said yes when I asked for his permission to purchase the voucher but when I checked on the details, check-in can only be done from Sundays to Thursdays only and we would prefer to stay overnight from Saturday to Sunday.

Breakfast with Santa: A Project Pearls Program

My friend Peachy is a Project Pearls Volunteer and Supporter. Project Pearls is the organization helping the families living in Ulingan village in Tondo.

I will be joining my friend and his husband this Saturday for the Christmas party that Project Pearls is organizing for the families in Ulingan. They call the project “Breakfast with Santa” as the party will start at 7:30 AM and they will be giving out Noche Buena packs for each of the family.

There will be 460 kids joining the party on Saturday and my friend and I are thinking what to share for the loot bags that they will be giving to the kids. I found a yo yo factory online and I am thinking to order yo yos as our small gift for the 460 kids in Ulingan.

We haven’t finalized yet what to buy but my husband and I are sure to be joining this party. I met the kids of Ulingan one time and ever since I religiously checked their Face book page to get updates on programs and projects that Project Pearls is organizing for them. I really wanted to extend my own little help and I think my attendance on Saturday, as a volunteer is my first step in achieving that.

The Many Uses of Garment Racks

The use of Garment Racks has evolved over time. It was only used before to hang clothes and is placed in stock rooms of department stores but they have found a new use for these boutique clothing racks.

For a business, they use the racks to hang their clothes for display. They can put the new styles at the front of the stores so clients can take immediate notice of it and thus can help generate sales. Most racks are also mobile so staff can easily move the racks around the store for easily arranging the display and the stocks. Racks also comes in nice designs like the vintage racks coupled with Wooden Hangers to create a unique and stunning store display.

For the home, racks can also be use to create additional storage space. You can put it in one corner of a room and store it in the basement or stock rock where you can hang your off-season clothes. This way, you are freeing up space in your closet for clothes that you will wear often. Racks are also a good tool to organize your stuff as you can install it inside a closet to sort and fix your clothes and other accessories.

Christmas 2011

It is just 20 days to go before Christmas. Have you made plans already for the holiday season? Have you checked for rv repair for those who will be going out-of-town during the holiday season?

As for my family, it has been a tradition for use to hear mass on the eve of Christmas and we will have Noche Buena together as a family. Then on Christmas day, we will have a reunion in our grandparent’s house. Since we just moved in to our new house, the reunion will probably be held in our house this year.

After the reunion from my side of the family, my husband and I together with our two kids will then visit hubby’s side of the family for their get together. Although I am not sure what are their plans for this year as my sister-in-law mentioned that they want to celebrate Christmas at our place too.

Although Christmas is the most expensive time of the year, this is my favorite month as the mood is so festive and you can really feel the spirit of love and sharing. I can’t wait for December 25!!
