Our house in Bulacan has been abandoned for more than a year now. So when hubby visited the house a few weeks ago, hubby got worried that it is beginning to deteriorate since no one is taking care of it.

That is why we decided to hire somebody who can stay in the house and take care of it. And so we were happy as my mom found the perfect person for this. We hired my mom’s former caretaker in the barangay and we are so lucky because after he stayed in the house for only 1 week, he was able to clean up the place and make it look like a real house again. I can’t believe that with just a simple cleaning and adding touches like furniture and bath rug, our house can be a very homey place again.

I am happy that we were able to find a very reliable care taker for our house. At least, even if we can’t get to visit our house every weekend, we have a peace of mind knowing that our house is in good hands.

2010 has been a very good year for my family financially. I was able to get a lot of work that allowed me to earn extra so I can treat my family and myself for some vacation and shopping. But looking at my Excel file made me realized that I was not able to save that much in 2010 and most of my earnings all went to things that we can definitely live without.

But I have no regrets as I was able to spend it for my family and I was able to make them happy. But my husband and I agreed that we already had enough shopping and this year is our time to make investments to save up for the future of our kids.
