Ingredients:
1 tablespoon minced garlic
½ cup chopped onions
1 piece laurel leaf
¼ teaspoon whole peppercorns
1 piece star anise
1/8 teaspoon 5 spice powder
1 kilo pork pata (front) cut into serving portions
3 tablespoon oyster sauce
¼ cp soy sauce
¼ cup rice wine
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 pouches Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits
1. Sautee the first six ingredients in 2 tablespoon oil. Add pata and sauté until lightly brown.
2. Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, rice wine, sugar and 3 cups water. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or until pata is fork-tender.
3. Add Del Monte Pineapple Tidbits with syrup. Simmer for 8 more minutes.
Makes 8 servings.
